When shopping for a financial advisor, we suggest that you ask a lot of questions.  But most people do not know what questions to ask.  As a courtesy to you, we have prepared a list of questions you may want to consider when searching for an advisor.

  3. Do you provide free advice for my 401K plan?
  4. Do you charge a fee for your advice?
  5. How do you get paid if you do not charge for advice?
  6. Do you explain things in a way that I can easily understand?
  7. Do you have a code of ethics to live up to?
  8. What’s your track record in a down stock market?
  9. Where is your securities license registered?
  10. Are you registered to do business in a state that I may be moving to?
  11. Do you have to sell a quota or inventory of certain investment products to keep your job?
  12. Do you have malpractice insurance?
  13. How many years have you been in Business?
  14. How often do you look at your clients accounts?
  15. Are you trying to maximize gains?
  16. Do you do no cost exchanges when necessary to reposition the investment program?
  17. Where do you live?
  18. What claim history do you have?
  19. Do you speak Spanish fluently?
  20. How knowledgeable are you with the IRS section 72T?
  21. What’s your cell phone number?
  22. When you are not in the office who runs the backroom?
  23. Who takes care of all my service needs- is it a real person(s) who really knows my account?
  24. Do you make house calls?
